Along with learning to play hockey, WJHA students from Grade 4 to 8 get to participate in after-school programming organized by the WJHA. With the goal of offering students well-rounded supports, after-school programming includes classroom sessions, gym sessions and field trips. Once WJHA students reach high school, they also have access to tutoring, volunteer opportunities and are introduced to possible career paths thanks to local businesses, organizations and post-secondary institutions partnering with the WJHA. After-school programming allows the WJHA to stay connected with students outside of hockey, supporting them on and off the ice.
