The TNYF is the charitable arm of True North Sports + Entertainment and the Winnipeg Jets and Manitoba Moose Hockey Clubs. The 50/50 programs of both the Winnipeg Jets and Manitoba Moose are run in support of the TNYF and its three core programs: the Winnipeg Jets Hockey Academy (WJHA), Project 11 (P11) and Camp Manitou.
“We hope our fans realize the difference that their contribution makes in our community,” said Dwayne Green, Executive Director of the TNYF. “Because of their support of our 50/50 program, underserved youth are making new connections as part of our Winnipeg Jets Hockey Academy that are not only keeping them in school but supporting them to excel academically. More than 30,000 youth in Manitoba are actively engaged in positive conversations around mental wellness and are learning healthy coping skills thanks to our P11 curriculum. And, hockey fans have also supported the growth and development of Camp Manitou as a revitalized outdoor haven for learning and adventure for Manitoba’s youth.”
Last year the TNYF positively impacted more than 42,000 members of our community and the foundation continues to strive to do more to empower the potential in underserved youth across Manitoba.
